Paul,
I recently tried to put notches in my throttle gimble and ended up getting
it all wrong. To fix the problem I took a small tie wrap(the ones that are
about 4" long and an 1/8" wide) and cut a section of it to fit over the
grooved area where the pressure spring rides in the notches. I cleaned it
good and lightly sanded both the gimble and one side of the tie wrap and
then glued the tie wrap with med c/a. So far so good and to get the feel
you want you could experiment by sand the notches down some till you get the
feel you want and/or bending the spring to the tension needed. This was
better then having to replace the whole gimbal.

detents. The stick is now a little to free. I would like it to remain
smooth, but want the stick to hold position a little better. The stick
slides too easy. Any ideas to tighten the movement slightly? Thanks in
advance. This is a little off topics as it is now being used in a heli, but
feel it would make airplanes smoother on throttle as well.
