Where it stands right now is that I polled the FAI pilots at the 2005 Nationals in a group meeting as to how the FAI class of the AMA open Nationals should be run in 2006.

There is lots of "We always did it this way" and a lot of legacy beliefs out there that go for as far back as schedules A,B etc.etc., but very little in writing as to how it should be done. there is not really any one place to go to get an answer.

Almost all of the pilots voted for the FAI Continental championships formula that is in the FAI sporting code.

In plainer English what that all means is that there will be a semi-finals of 20 pilots on the 3rd day flying F-07, unless the plan is rejected by the NSRCA board and/or the AMA itself.

Regards,

Eric.

I heard that there was going to be changes to the FAI flights at 2006 Nat's like 2 day's of prelims, 1 day of semi final's and 1 day of final's, if this is so and yes I know it's way early the reason for the mediocre pilots like me, I have always only practiced the P schedule and just played with some of the maneuvers of the F schedule, if the above is true I can still do as in the past, if not I may have to learn both schedules.
 Thank You
