Please stop suggesting his purchase of an OS 1.40RX. He would have more
opportunity to practice and would be able to complete more rounds at
contests. That wouldn't help me a bit.

            I think I can help solve your problem.  Replace each of
those Pro-Mix carburetors (along with the entire engine) with an OS
1.40RX.
