Bob, guess you just made my choice easier. If we cannot share our tweaks easily among those that really want them, then I will stay with Great Planes, no matter how "Great" a different simulator is. I would suggest either they "fix it" or we just don"t buy it, and hurt their bottom line. Thats the best way to get their attention!!!!!"So there goes 5 sales from this area.

Xavier - the Smaragd needs LOTS of tweaks to get it "near pattern". Evidently, the default design was NOT programmed in AFP by a pattern pilot (at least not a competitive one!)
I am nearly done tweaking mine, and it's getting very close, but I have been admonished by the US distributor/rep that making the modified airplane files available is a violation of the software EULA for the product, so I can't share the files.
I *can* write down the parameters, and will do so shortly and post that on my website.

Thanks to all who gave suggestions. I try all of them actually before my
first messsage :-)
It seems that my CD reader is at fault. I tried 2D different CD on my PC
with the same result. I tried my CD on a friend's PC and it worked righ
away. My PC is only about 2 months old and I will get in contact with my
salesman ASAP.
I was able to play with AFPD with my friend and we are both impressed.
We tried various planes and they all behave very realistically. He had
the same trouble with the shockflyer that he has with his real one. I
was having as much fun with the Shockflyer and other 3D planes that I
have with my real ones. He was good with the heli and was struggling.
Same in the real life. The Smarag fly very similar to my real pattern
plane. One thing we notice was that all the CG's were too much forward
to our taste.
I can't wait to have it working here.

Seems a kind of copy protection you may want to contact Aerofly. Did you
have tried to install from de Hard Drive or Directly from the CDROM.
Maybe you could try to copy all installation files to a folder in the
Hard Drive and try again
