Unfortunately I can imagine it from some I have heard about. Thankfully never personally involved with. I do find pattern pilots on the whole are very safe and on top of their game, more so than some sport fliers for example. Not being to pick on any group just pointing out what I have observed over the years.

Yes it could, if I remember my First Aid correctly, I like your "disclaimer", though I can't imagine it necessary<BG>

Very true Ken.. But the nurses side of me likes to keep all safe from hurting themselves. Seen to much of it in warmer temps. Course you can pack the wound with clean snow and ice to stop the bleeding.. That is mentioned jokingly in case someone wants to take it to seriously. It would work in right circumstances done correctly though.

Yes Del,
But just think of the extra protection you have with those heavy gloves, when you reach through the prop to richen your needle.:-)
Sorry, that's as good as the jokes get this time of the morning.

I call it smart. Much easier to get caught up in whirling meat cleaver with heavy bulky clothing and keepings ones balance, let alone not having good feeling in extremities to maintain safety. Everyone is different and has different tolerances to heat and cold. Ask those that have fainted? Is much easier to happen next time after heat stroke. As I stated... I will stick with calling it smart.

Man, I'm disappointed, I thought all pattern fliers were tough, disciplined and skilled. I guess two out of three ain't bad!

So how do you guys ice fish down there?
I was born in Rochester, NY and have seen all the ice I care to see, unless it's with some single malt Scotch.
