The glow plug is critical. Use an OS-F, if you are not doing so.

I just got a new YS 63 & it will not run correctly. It seams to want to
go to very rich all of a sudden & then back fire & stop. I have 3 other
YS motors But this one has me stumped. fuel to the needle valve in small
squirts which seams normal. When I shut off the fuel & spin out the fuel
without glow plug lit it will turn freely unlike when their is a
hydraulic lock. In truth it seams like the valves may be working
incorrectly but they look ok & are closed on compression stroke. I do
not remember where the punch mark should be on the cam when you remove
the cover & look in. I will call Tony & see what he has to say tomorrow.
Any thoughts would be considered.
