Chris, that's a great solution!  I think either Wayne Galligan or Lance VanNostrand offered a similar thing that was home-made using short pieces of spring safety wire.

What has always prevented me from trying one of these is how do you ensure the solder connection stays vibration proof?

I'd like to do something like this on my Icepoint!
