Yes, that is the way I had it setup also. BUT, the fuel pressure coming from the regulator to the carb is slightly below atmospheric pressure. One side of the regulator diaphragm has a vent which references the atmospheric pressure.

The way I use the cline is with pressure from a crankcase tap (webra) or a tube coming off the exhaust pipe(OS 300 Twin) to the tank. A check valve is used also.It works with 2-10 lbs pressure.This is the way Cline recommends the setup.In other words with pressurized tank.
