Ok lets review the chapter on mixing the throttle to the elev so we can try to mix out the downline pull on low throttle. Hmmmmmmmm has the perfect example in the book five minutes later the chore is done. Ok time for a decent pre-trip to the flying field preflight inspection. Ok the gears a bit loose so tighten the bolts up and make a note to get some lock nuts for it. Ok the elev half's are getting a bit loose at the control horns so make another note to replace them soon. Ok so now we're at the field and all ready for take off. As I throttle up I notcie this thing is nicely tracking down the run way, must be the expo we dialed into the rudder working. Ok take off is SOOOOO NICE !!!!!! do a long slow pull out to about 200' and turn around, man those ailerons and elev sure to behave better now. Let's try a few rolling type maneuvers ooooooooh boy is this sweet! Ok stall turns are pretty much rock solid and the snaps are sweet! Ok what's going on here this is too easy and going too smoothly somethings wrong, has to be. Ok times up have to land now, ok that's smooth. Second flight produces the same results so I'm sitting there after the second flight pondering my fate of the last two weeks and think to myself Boy I sure could have saved myself alot of aggravation if I'd read the book first. Ok my buddy shows up and now we decide it's time to start practicing the pattern next weekend and to have Kirk fly the airplane and do the fine trim flights. So far I'm happy to have this airplane and it's flying far better than I can fly it at this time but more fuel burnt will even that out I hope. Now we begin the search for a trailer to haul this thing around in along with the other airplanes I have, oh boy this is getting fun !!!!!!!
