Metal Need

If you have an aluminum recycling center in your area - go by & tell the guy
what you want.
At my local center, the guy let me look around and I found a folding lawn
chair & a set of crutches and some tubing I have no idea what was originally
intended for. I gave him $5.00 and left happy - more tubing than I know what
to do with.

The mops/rakes/brooms I looked at were all either seamed steel tube,
wood, or plastic handled. Maybe I went to the wrong Wally World...who knows.
Anyway, I got enough alum tubing from the website to make header
extensions for the rest of my life (3 feet x2 pieces), for about 12 bucks or
so shipped. They have lots of other nifty raw materials listed too, and will
sell in small quantities suitable to our needs, which is what I liked most.
Factor in that it came right to my door, which has to count for
something, with the price of gas and all. Driving all over and spending
$6-$8 in gas, in order to spend $5 on some widget I then have to modify,
just doesn't have the appeal it once did to me. ;-)
Call me crazy.
Rick

Gotta buy the mop. Actually just about any kind of rake or broom
will probablyhave a thin walled ally handle that can be used. Cheapo Depot
also has collapsible extensions for paint rollers that work well in this
application

I recently bought some 'header extension' aluminum tubing from
these guys. Couldn't find any mop handles made of aluminum at Wally World
(or anywhere else), so I went here. They specialize in small quantities.
Give them a try. Their service was great.

I am in serious need of 4 solid strips of T-6061, aluminum,
2mm thick, 70mm long, 10-11mm wide. Would pay a reasonable fee for such
metal....or even a source of them....
Any help out there?
Please contact off - list....and thanks, guys.
