Header and Pipe cleaner

I used to be a chemist at a coating company (HPC, Inc.) and coated an
exhaust system but never used it. We had many RC Boat and airplane
guys get their exhaust systems coated and they seemed to love it -
both the gassers and the nitro boys. It cleans up easily and is at
least as durable, if not more so, than the substrate Aluminum pipe and
header. It also polishes very well and won't discolor.

As for adding ponies, the exhaust charge heat retention theory would
probably have a minimal scavenging effect at this displacement (and
the exhaust gas temps we run). It may add as many HP as those flashy
window stickers on Hondas (or Flowmasters on trucks, depending on your
location).

Personally, I wouldn't coat the interior of an airplane exhaust
system. I would worry about decreasing the internal diameter of the
system, and it would be impossible to polish. I think this would be
far too disruptive of the flow. Just coat the outside and enjoy the
shine!

Regards,

Brett
