Metal Need

Chris,

I have some of the 2024 stuff and made a set of landing gear for my Funtana with it and it works OK. A 1" radius or a little large at the top of the gear seems to work about the best. I also lighten up the cross section at the bottom of the fuse by drill extra holes.

  Hey Coach,
Sorry, I've been out sick this week and missed checking the posts when I returned yesterday too. Did you find a source for your metal.
I can get you some 6061-T6 anytime you need it from our scrap barrels here. It will be in inch increments .063, .125, .187 etc thicknesses and I can shear it to width and lengths needed. (I use 2024-T3 alot too...just have to watch the bend radii closer. My background includes working in sheet metal fabrication....don't know if you realized that.)

  Hope all is well....

I am in serious need of 4 solid strips of T-6061, aluminum, 2mm thick, 70mm long, 10-11mm wide. Would pay a reasonable fee for such metal....or even a source of them....

    Any help out there?
Please contact off - list....and thanks, guys.
