Long Stroke vs. Short Stroke

Hi Scott,

One is taller than the other! LOL

Long or short is refering to the bore stroke ratio. If the stroke is
shorter than the bore dia then it would be short stroke or over square.
If it has a longer piston travel than bore dia. It is a long stroke.
Used to be a common myth that long stroke had more torque and short
stroke reved better. While somewhat true there are more variables than
just the bore/stroke ratio's.

I could be wrong and hope some one will correct me if I am.

Regards
Bill
