Result of the Nashville, Tenn contest?

Jim,

When I was a district VP, I basically gave up on AMA maintaining contest separation and tried to coordinate dates with the adjacent districts. In my case, the problem was with the AMA contest coordinators not communicating across AMA district borders. In your case it seems the AMA did not consider SPA and pattern contests being a conflict.

SPA really interests me. I have been trying to talk it up a bit to see if I can get some interest in the NC/SC area.

Guys
Two contests were scheduled the same weekend. The SPA in Knoxville and the AMA contest in Nashville. If this conflict had not happened there would have been at least 3 more contestants(maybe more) at the Nashville contest. These conflicts didn't happen when Lamar was co-ordinator. Something needs to change. By the way the SPA contest is not a fun fly event as it is called. It is a non rule event, but, is a direct conflict with AMA pattern events.
