Proven fuel proof coating for field box?

Hi all,
I'm getting ready to apply a finish to a new field box this evening, but
I'm really coming up with lots of conflicting information on what I can
use for a durable fuel proof finish. I am looking for a brushable,
clear, high gloss, UV resistant (non-yellowing) finish to show off the
wood. I'd like to avoid a two part finishing resin / epoxy if I can
since I only need maybe a pint and don't have any other uses for it.
What have you used (not heard about) that has worked?
Thanks!
By the way, the field box this one is replacing is 20+ years old - and
despite several attempts over the years that finish is still not fuel
proof so I really want to do it right this time as the box will likely
be around a while...
Tom
