I had a YS91 that ran and ran for 8 years. I had two other 91's that didn't
run no matter what. I had a 120NC that was a paper weight at best. I had a
140FZ that ran and ran for 3 years. When you have an airplane that is an
engine specific design, you are kinda stuck. I bought a 110, no luck. So I go to
the hobby store and inspect 8 YS 110's. Some had poor feeling movement, some
had gaskets bulging out from the mating surfaces. After going through all of
them I picked one and crossed my fingers. The quality between motor number 1
and number 8 was marked. I took the motor home, the pump wasn't flush, I
fixed that. The low speed screw was out three turns, I fixed that. Then I
tighted all the bolts I could get to on the motor. I broke it in filthy rich on 25%
in the driveway. I currently have three gallons of 30% through it and it has
been perfect! My point? I feel that maybe YS has a quality control problem.
I have had YS's that were great out of the box and some that nobody,
including TN, could not get to run right. Have I found the problem? Don't know but
this last excersize seemed to work for me.

See ya,

Bruce
