Old monocote question

I used some of the old (original Super monokote) that was new in plastic 
(from the mid 70's ) recently and it worked fine. no problem with 
peeling off etc..
(I have maybe 50 flights on the plane)  It went on like normal.  Hasn't 
loosened up either.
