Ignorant about brazing...

A beginner would want to know:
Don't even think about trying it with no flux.
The flux actually melts. It looks a bit strange the first time you see it, 
but it is OK.

The secret is in the preparation: you cannot get it too clean.
The guys who look like they are skipping things just have a lot of 
experience and know what they can get away with...the rest of us need to 
take a little more time.
