Temptation

OK, building season is officially here in Southern Indiana. I'm about to 
start my Temptation. I'm going to leave the primary color white and just put 
trim colors over the gelcoat. What does everybody use to fill in the seam? 
I've used that red Bondo stuff (one part). But have had some compatibility 
problems with it and lusterkote.
Also, if you use canopy glue to glue the canopy to the hatch, what do you 
use to fill in the gap before painting? same stuff?
