Hey Anthony.
 
I had a Real Flight Sim and can only say it did NOTHING for my pattern flying.  Most of the time there was no reference to straight and level or to size and radii.
 
The benefits I saw with the sim were in Torque Rolling and rolling circles.  Unless there has been a significant change in programing(and there may have been) I don't see the sim as usefull at all for pattern.  Just my honest opinion.
