They will check out the system and tune it up if needed. One thing that will
tend to happen with all of the radios on the market today is that the output
transistor can get weak over time. Especially if the radio has been operated
for long periods of time with the antenna down. Rarely do guys extend the
antenna when setting up the radio in a new model. If you have noticed the
module getting warm ...then its a good idea to send it in every couple years
and get it tested out.

The guys at JR service are first rate and will take good care of you.

Lithium batts usually get changed out after about 5 years or so...so if he
has 4 yrs on it...Might not be a bad idea to have them do this work also
just as a precaution.
