I guess I meant the doors. Now that I think of it, my old neighbor, who does the design work for a local cabinety shop, was talking about doors.

We in the "Biz" don't use MDF, medium density fiberboard, to build cabinets, unless you want one "heavy as heck" cabinet, no offense Dean.
Although the MDF would work fine, though very heavy, industrial grade particle board is what would be used in cabinet making, beneath the veneers. The material can be found at your local HD, use the sheet that measures 49"x97".
We do use the MDF in making paint grade door panels and such, due to its superior density.
