A Play Pattern Plane

Hi Bpb,

Before you fly your Excelleron 90 I'd suggest that you use some CA to
make sure the balsa triangular reinforcing blocks attached to the
back of the landing gear plate are actually bonded to the fuselage
sides. On the second flight of Terri Hemmis' Excelleron 90 a couple
of weekends ago she rolled off the side of the runway (more like
taxied actually) into some mud and the gear plate ripped out. Upon
inspection, there was no glue between the reinforcing strips and the
fuselage sides. Easily fixed but better to avoid the problem with
some CA before first flight.

BTW - I haven't flown it, but Tony Frackowiak said that he flew the
full FAI sequence with Terri's last weekend and that it flew really
well (it has a YS110 in it).

Thx, Jerry
