honeycombing foam cores

Rather than mess up your soldering tip....just insert a loop of  #10 copper 
electrical wire (w/o insulation) in place of the tip. Then you can shape the 
loop to suit your cutting/melting needs.

The Dremel thing really works. I use this for making slots/grooves 
etc.....but a bit messy......keep the vacuum cleaner handy.

On the other hand, I'm not convinced that honeycombing is necessary....IF IF 
the rest of the airplane is going to allow you to come in at a reasonable 
weight. A honeycombed wing takes more delicate handling...and if you ara 
clutz like me...this may be a disadvantage.
