Not to get off the subject, but I don't think I would want any plane with the name "Impact". I would not want it to live up to its name. :-)

Scott,
On my impact, I replaced the phenolic control horns with ones cut out of .074 Uni Carbon. It is more then strong enough to accept ball links. I just traced out the phenolic horn on the carbon and used my scroll saw to cut them out.

Thanks

Subject: composite control horn

Ok Guys,

I have been looking at several of the composite 2M planes like OTOP,IMPULSE,IMPACT and they all are using some sort of composite control horn that you put a notch into the surface and glue it into place... So since I have not seen one in person I have some questions.. how can you fine tune this( up/down- no threads?) and use a ball link ..?... and could you use like the MK horns with the composite wing? or a different style?
If anyone has pics also that would be great..

Thanks
Scott
