For what a bearing costs it is cheap insurance to replace. I will be
very surprised if you don't see some galling and may have even developed
some flat spots on bearings with bearing being so stiff from old castor.
Engine Guru and friend Dave Gierki always suggested to me to tear engine
down and clean thoroughly to be certain everything is up to snuff. I know
many don't recommend indiscriminate tearing down an engine but sometimes is
only way to prevent trashing engine from retainer or flakes coming off and
going through engine.
