Jon:
No doubt it varies with area conditions. . . I had many years of service
from a 140FZ using APC 16x12 on a 10.99# olympian. --john

Subject: prop for YS140FZ
What prop should I be using on my YS 140FZ? I have a new Temptation,
I`ve flown it 5 times. I have a Mejzlik 18X6 on it now. It turns it at
9100 rpm, (too fast?)I`m going to try a 18X8. I do like the way it
responds to the throttle with that prop. It slows down good for spins as
well. Why does everyone run alot of pitch on pattern planes? Also what`s
the trick to keeping the header tight? It loosened up after the first
flight, then after the next four. I tried red loctite and it didn`t
help. Thanks Jon Wise Anchorage, Alaska
