Lance:
No, it's not naiveté. Fact is, I am looking at the bigger picture
here. If Mr. Fuqua chooses to introduce a rules change, under the
existing setup he is free to do so.
I'm trying to come to grips with the fact that, to paraphrase Mr. Fuqua,
(and this is important to get out) that NSRCA doesn't legislate
Pattern. Basically, NSRCA in the final analysis doesn't even run NSRCA.
It is dictated to by the AMA. The Contest Board doesn't work for, AND
IS NOT RESPONSIBLE TO the NSRCA.
Regardless of where lay the sympathies of the CB members, who voted them
in? If they are doing an incompetent or an insensitive job, how can
they be removed from office? As far as I know, basically, there is no
machinery in place to do so. At least by my vote.
If you saw my posting to Georgie, I made a couple of suggestions. Will
they be followed? I doubt it. Most folks will simply say "Well, things
are pretty good the way they are; why rock the boat?" It's always
simpler to follow along with the way things are, than to attempt to try
the road less traveled.
