wing tube

Hi,
The best method I have ever come up with is to Decide after cutting the core
profile how far out the tube is to go.
After deciding how far cut the core on a table saw that many inches out from
the centerline. Cut the shucks as well. Then tack the center sections
together. Make two templates that have the wing tube cut out in them. Cut a
vertical entry cut from the center or each wing tube hole in the template. Weight
down the core on the shuck and align the trailing edge so they are perfect.
Use the foam cutting "wand and cut out the tube. I also use this method to cut
out servo leads. Here one only has to cut a vertical in the template for each
end. If you drop in the wire and count to 9. The hear will open up a
perfectly round hole of approximately 3/8 diameter. All that is necessary is to
then contact cement the outside panels on . Break the tack on the center piece
and sheet the wings. This method ensures the tube is perfectly centered and
perfectly placed.

The best adhesive in my mink is one of the foaming urethanes like Probond.
Just dont over due it as it expand approx. 4 times. If you use this method the
foaming glue fills in any imperfections and makes for a perfect job.

Call me if you want. This sound much worse than it is. I can build a full
set of wings in a weekend and that include cutting the cores and sheeting and
still finish the yard, etc.
