I got one flying and it's a really fun plane. Looks Great! The only ARF
that I have seen that looks better flying Box Maneuvers is the Focus!
Weight came out to 10.5 pounds with 5 8411SA's, 1400mah NICAD,YS140
Sport swinging a 18-6W.
For a muffler I got a 45 degree elbow from the YS people & run the
OS120 Surpass muffler! More volume & less Noise!
I also used a carbon wing tube & scraped the wheel pants. Swapped out
the hardware for some MK stuff.
BTW the Q.A.C. Yak is 72 inched wing span & looks very close to a 2
meter set-up compared to the other 68 inched planes.
And with Wayne Ulery & Q.S. backing it up with product support you just
don't get no better!
Q.S. has a Electric one flying I hear!
Im outta here to fly my YAK!

Anyone building or flying the new Somenzini's Yak 54 (68" span)? It this
good as a pattern plane?
I got a 140L lubed and boxed for almost a year.
Also, what is a Splendor? (Piedmont website does not show anything
while the somenzini's site says to check the Piedmont).
