YS140 DZ

Hi Jim,
What were the symptoms? I had some problems with mine running lean
on the low end. I just got it running good again, but only after turning
the pump in 3 1/2 turns. I flew 4 full flights including running out of fuel
and not a hiccup. I am still concerned what changed though. I checked the
pump as described by Richard and it is ok (checking the side play of the
pushrod). Anyone else have this problem.
PS all fuel lines, foam clunk, and filters are ok.

right, it is the pump valves that are shown reversed. Each valve should be
shown 180 deg so that the prong part mounts into the springs. This is the
way I had the valves last night and the engine ran ok.When I took it apart
the first time the whole inside of the pump had smoky looking crude in it.I
filter 2 times so I don't know where this came from.
