I am not sure if those servos are digital servos.  If not, you should
try digital servos.  Those give you the right torque/speed ratio.

Sorry--didn't answer all your question. I replaced everything in the
set--however, I think the ratio change is in the the two metal gears
prior to the output gear. The plastic gears--# 2 and 3 after the
motor--(#1 gear) and the output APPEAR to be unchanged.
