All Futaba Guys,
A couple years ago, when I started freeing up some time for this; I found my old servos weren't giving me the response on some of this stuff that we do and started looking into digital. I ended up getting a couple of sets of 9150s which were a bit slow and still weren't great for snaps or feel. Fut. came out with 9154s which are considerably faster with less torque. I bought a set and am very pleased with them. As you may have seen, I put the 9150s up for sale recently and got NO response--got me to thinking--I wonder if there is anything I can do to perk these four little doggies up. Looking at the spec sheets on them; I noticed the corresponding reduction of torque to the increase in speed. Hmmmm--wonder if it's just a gear-set change? Couldn't get a straight answer from Futaba, Tony says they've got all separate part numbers, so I ordered a couple 9154 gear-sets; put one in a 9150 last night and it APPEARS to run at the same speed as the 9154s. The servo turns from neutral to the end point as quickly as I ever move the stick--and the old ones did not. The 9154s are accurate enough that you can see your heart beat on the straight flight after the Cuban with 4/8 and 2/2.
Caution--this is for information only. I may be wrong. I DO plan on flying them with the new gear-sets and the 9150s are off the market.
Richard
