Retracts V Fixed Gear

I switched to Bolly CF gear. It seems to act like a shock absorber -
nary a bounce.

Who bounces their landings, come in with the speed bled off and no
problems, grease one in and expect the bounce. Like you say  no worries
next year just put it on the runway.

Good point, but until next year fixed gear can also cause downgrades
because
they will bounce on landing much easier than retracts. You really have
to
grease the landing to prevent some of the fixed gear setups from
bouncing a
little bit.

BTW, my Aries #1 has retracts, Aries #2 fixed gear. For me the
convenience
factor moved me towards fixed gear, and after this year a tinny bounce
won't
matter anyways ;-)
