My guess is it is to keep the fuel cooler, avoid any possibility of "boiling" it in the hot crankcase. Might make an interesting upgrade for 120/140.

I was looking at the YS homepage and there is a picture of a YS63S. It does not have the usual regulator setup but has some kind of canister in front of the pushrods. There are two fuel nipples on the left (as oriented in the picture)  that I assume go to the tank and two on the right, the bottom one looks like timed crank pressure, the top one goes to the throttle barrel. Not enough detail in the picture to see if it is injected as the DZ.  Anybody have details?
