Keith this is common when change the radio models. I have always found that going from the 8 channels to the 10 channel will do this...Not only this the Expo values may actually be different.....
This is true for any of the other radio brands too.
Now 10X to 10X they should not change.
The best bet is to re-setup the travel values and subtrims with the new radio.....Basically its easy just turn on the 8103 and measure the travel then turn the 8103 off and power up the 10X and duplicate the throw...then its off to the next surface.
Its a kind of a pain but the upgrade it radio will be well worth it for you.....I have gotten to where it takes only about an hour to setup a total airplane from scratch.
If you have any questions I can help with the 10X program stuff....There is also a cool tool called data safe where I can email you a setup and you can load it into your 10X via the file I email too you.
Plus there is a New Data Safe coming out that has a bunch more flexibility its very very cool. There will be some info in the next couple months about this...Its a very cool feature the JR radios have...and it will make the setup of your models even easier and more productive.

Subject: Question converting from JR 8103 to 10X
For Christmas I bought (uh, I mean my wife got me), a JR 10X and I'm in the process of transferring the settings from my 8103. I went through each and every menu item in the 8103 and made sure that each setting was programmed into the 10X. When testing it on the plane everything appeared perfect except for the aileron throws are significantly greater using the 10X than the 8103. I've gone over every possibility I can think of (throws, dual rates, expo, mixes) and I can't find any reason that I would be different.
Is it possible that the same dual rate percentage on the 8103 and the 10X may yield significantly different throws on the ailerons but not on other control surfaces?
Thanks,
Keith Black
