Chris, we used to do that up until 5 years or so ago. Then it just stopped-I don't know why-- should be resurrected now that Tony has us back on the track towards the quality "old days" of the K Factor.

  Absolutely.

The K-Factor needs to be more than a contest report if we are to use it as a tool to attract new members. Please, you "experienced" flyers and builders, submit a how to or instructional article ( or series )!

  Submit them to : mailto:k-factor-articles at nsrca.org

Derek's idea of having Don do a series on maneuvers is precisely the kind of thing that a new pattern flyer wants to see. I would welcome any others as well.

As far as another idea to attract membership, I think every CD should have extra copies of the new layout K-Factor for handout at their event. I know this is available, but I'm not sure how much it's actually used. With our hot new cover, and some great content, every non NSRCA pattern flyer should leave a contest with a copy. The seed will be planted for new memberships!

Wait until you see the cover of the January issue. :)

BTW, our goal is to improve and I think we've accomplished that with the 1st issue under the new publisher. It can only get better from here as we move forward and find out exactly what we can/cannot do within the constraints of our budget. I would still like to solicit input/articles from everyone if they have construction articles, how-to's, flying tips, judging tips, etc. Everyone benefits from this type of article... I used to love reading those articles in the "old" K-Factors of the mid 90's - articles from Verne K. and Bob Richards especially.

Let's see if we can pressure Don S. to write some articles... ;)

This has got to be the best K-Factor that I have seen since receiving them. Even the airplane on the front page looks good after I realized it was there.

Nice articles like should be in this type of mag. The clarity and neatness of the layout is exceptional.

      Hello All,

The December K-Factor is now on line. It is about 4.5 meg in size.

      Best,
