Worlds Judges....

I somewhat agree, Gordon,
I've talked to a number of pilots who have a real problem with the
"politics" of the NSRCA. Trying to be observant, in any situation I'm
involved in, I've noticed that whenever there are offices to be filled,
there is going to be "politics". Any time there are "politics", there's
going to be passion, hence the heated discussion.
I agree that may keep some people from getting involved in the political
realm of the NSRCA, but I don't see it as a deterrent, keeping pilots from
trying to be better pilots, which is the main reason I started in Pattern.
Having about a half of a season behind me, I still hold the belief that
Pattern will make me a better pilot, even if I will never be serious
competition to anyone.
Individuals that have enough passion to get this involved, in my ever so
humble opinion, won't hurt Pattern, though it may have a negative effect on
NSRCA membership.
I, for one, have to respect the obvious concerns, that some have, for the
subjects such as World Judges. Does it matter to me who goes to the Worlds?
Not in the least, as long as they represent the U.S.A. in a professional and
fair manner. I haven't met any of these individuals, or been judged by
them, and probably never will.
As for the passionate people that post on this list, shoot, I read their
posts just because I know that the passion will be there. Some of them I
follow to RCU because I know that I'll read a straight shooting honest
opinion about the subject, and it's normally an informed opinion.
Personally, I like that.

Sorry this went so long, much longer than I anticipated.
