  I just received the note below from Bob Skinner of the FAI.  As a direct result of our judging evaluation program, the World Championships organizers have chosen our top-ranked judge, Don Ramsey, as the USA judge for the 2005 World Champs to be held in France!

  Dear Tony 

  The organisers of next year's W/C nominated their panel of judges and the CIAM Bureau accepted it without change. I was no resistance or even comment from Dave Brown over the nomination of Don. He made his feelings very well known a few weeks ago when he supported a nomination for Bob Noll, but reralised that this process was entirely in the hands of the organisers.

  I expect a lot of harsh words will follow. Those who support Bob Noll will seek blame, since they feel that he should have been the US judge of choice. Bob himself expected to be the candidate since he attended the W/C in Poland last year. Unfortunately there are no guarantees but I'm sure if Dave/Bob had made a strong lobby to the organisers, they might have been successful.
