Bob,

Cut out the cracked section if you can, and replace it with a piece of rubber fuel line.  Just clamp the fuel line on for now until you can repair it properly.   If you have tubing flaring tool, you can splice in a new piece of trans tubing, and it will be a permanent repair.  You can get a tubing flaring kit cheap at your local auto parts store, along with the line and fittings you need.  You could fix the line for less than $30.00, that includes the price of the tubing flaring tool.  Make sure it is a double flaring tool.

  Backyard mechanics...help!  Changing starter stressed/cracked one of the auto trans fluid lines.  Of course, I have to do a temp fix just to get it someplace.  ANY SUGGESTIONS from anybody?
