Wrap a piece of rubber around the crack and tighten a  clamp around the rubber and crack at the crack. Could be temporary or permanent....your choice.

  Backyard mechanics...help!  Changing starter stressed/cracked one of the auto trans fluid lines.  Of course, I have to do a temp fix just to get it someplace.  ANY SUGGESTIONS from anybody?
