Digital / standare Servo question

Hi,
    I am looking for feedback on what to choose as a general purpose servo. 
I have been using the Futaba coreless 9202 but am also considering the Digital 9252.
For rudder I am considering changing from a 9202 to a 9303.
    First - what are the relative advantages of standard servos vs digital servos.
    Second - are the 9202 standard the 9252 digital and 9303 standard "good" choices.
