While on the subject of glowplugs

I usually change the plug in whatever YS I am flying the most every Spring. I keep the old one in a bottle marked "used" for the guys who never seem to have a spare at the field. Quite often, when a plug fails in a YS120/140 it still glows, it just don't work anymore.
Note that I don't have ANY DZ experience.

Subject: While on the subject of glowplugs
I ran the webra last year and in running thru 15 gallons or so I blew at least 10 OS F plugs. This year I have the YS DZ and thru 20 gallons and I'm using the same plug. My question is this, how long can a plug last? I almost feel I should change it as a PM. Any comments? Thanks, Mike
