Peter,
What the Alliance needs is a significent increase in wing and stab incidence, then probably a thrustline adjustment. Since this is impractical a dorsal fin can provide the same results, with no negatives. Eliminating the need for a mix always provides the best flying airplane, the easiest to trim.
Mark,
The mix required to correct the knife-edge is needed for all attitudes where the plane is yawed. The mix complements the entire pattern.
