May K-Factor

It is not especially tough to share paper copies too. Not so easy as mass
mailing a PDF, but a better way to do it would be to make the members go to
the website, sign in to an account, and download it. Once the PDF copy, or
the printed one, is in the hands of the end user, there isn't much you can
do to prevent reproduction/distribution if they so desire.

Just a thought.

I don't know, but I suspect the problem is that an electronic copy is too
easy to share and the K-Factor is seen as a cash cow from advertising.

Just speculating. My local club is only mailing 1/3 as many newsletters this
year.

It sounds like there aren't as many savings as I first thought.
However, if it costs so much, in a downward progressive way, to print the
K-Factor, why not just print all the copies, but not send them to whoever
would choose to get it electronically? That's got to save enough stamps to
at least mail 'em to the guys in Canada and elsewhere that are having such
poor postal service. Knowing Murphy and his law all too well, I imagine
there's another Catch-22 lurking in this,too.
As for all the extra copies, give 'em , not send 'em, to IMAC, CPLR, the
Nats, WRAM show, Toledo. Give 'em to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Put me on the list.
