Arresti Nose

I have two of the engine mounted servo setups. Total flights probably 125+. JR servo got oil inside from output shaft (no o-ring/unsealed), started running slow. Easy to spot. Removed, cleaned, put in spare box. Put in new HS 55 (same size exactly as JR 281), it's working fine, too.

Servo wire stiffened slightly on the JR. Hitec hasn't yet....but setups have been completely reliable.

  Bob how many flights do you have on the 'engine' mounted servo? BTY my experiments with carburetors have been relatively unsuccessful in getting the landing idle rpm closer to the takeoff idle rpm. The Perry carb is a great improvement but had mounting isolation problems. I realize that the engine should be relatively unloaded on final but the two stk engine is far in excess of this at final.
  You would think the steel barrell , aluminum case carbs would be the answer ? Nat

    Since it's t-storms, I decided, AFTER research, to go ahead and add the Pollitt nose ring to the original Arresti.  Interesting project, and thanks to all of you who responded with ideas.  Results are here;

    Of course, have NO idea whatsoever whether it will work, or destroy the airplane.
