Perry regultor VP30

Hello all
I am using a Perry VP30 Fuel regulator on my Moki 1.35 engine.
I have seen a recommendation to add a T connector on the pipe running
from the back plate nipple to the regulator and 
One leg of the T connector to run a pipe to an input of a one-way fuel
valve and add a pipe from the output of the one-way fuel valve to the
fuel tank.
The claim was that this will allow fuel overflow to be returned to the
fuel tank.

Does anyone is familiar with such configuration?
