twisting long extensions

You can make a J hook from wire and chuck the hook in a hand drill. Hook
the wire on the J hook and take the slack out of the extension by
holding the other end in your hand.
Then, run the drill slowly to twist the wire.
I don't know how effective this is regarding noise elimination, however,
it is just one thing in a list that can be done.
Keep in mind that the length of the extension will be reduced as the
wire twists.
