Jaccio Perfect Switch Harness (long)

Dave,
While I agree with Troy...and run the Airtronics PCM receivers in my planes (you'll like them) I've also had good luck with PPM....I'm inclined to think you may have a loose or fractured crystal. I've gotten some very flaky reactions from what turned out to be a bad crystal.
Since you mentioned Jack...I'd suggest you send the receiver in to him (actually send it to Bobby Tom) and have it looked at.

Thank you for the reply, Troy.
When I said jittery, I meant near the limit of the range check.
I didn't know about the advantages of range checking with PCM. It does sound
like it is a lot more positve. The reason I did not use it is that it never
made sense to me to have the system lock up when it gets hit. It seems it
would be better to have some/intermittent control than none. In fact, that
may have saved my plane the other day.
I will change the extensions to OEM as you suggest. I have the heavy duty
type in now, but they are not OEM.
I totally agree with you regarding the value of a model. The Quest is an
ARF, but still took considerable time to assemble. I also have an all wood
Typhoon that I built from plans that took considerably longer to "assemble!"
And, for me, it is BOTH the money and the time that add to the value of a
plane.
I'll think seriously about getting a PCM receiver. You are persuasive!
Dave
