Mintor w/Mac's Header?

ANYONE run a Mintor with any of the Mac's headers, on the stock cylinder
head?  Both Mintor headers have the wrong rise for my Viper, and the
only options are to cut and weld the 60mm, or find the Mac's OS 1.40
that fits.
    The Mac's I have is still too low, but would work.
 
I'd like any info about wear and tear on the crankcase/cylinder,
breakage issues, etc. ?
